Mr. Capannesi joined FMBcapital Holdings in February 2020 with extensive international lending experience.

Prior to joining the Group, he was Chief Operations Officer of Bayport Financial Services in Tanzania, Botswana and Colombia. In 2017 he ran the Operations and Sales for Bayport Financial Services in Latin America. After consulting with Africa focused Private Equity companies in the U.K during 2018, Gian joined First Capital Bank to head up Consumer Lending in Botswana in 2019.

Gian has a background in Strategy and Finance with a focus on African Business. Gian was brought up in Malawi and speaks 5 languages of which two are from Sub Saharan African countries.
