Mr. Christo Els holds an LLM degree, with distinction, from the University of South Africa as well as a BLC and LLB degrees, both with distinction, from the University of Pretoria. He is the Senior Partner at Webber Wentzel South Africa and specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, equity capital markets and securities regulation law. He has advised on a number of large, transformational and cross-border transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa. Christo’s Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets expertise has been recognised by various international research organisations including Chambers Global, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers and Christo was named Dealmaker of the Year by Dealmakers magazine in South Africa (2010) and Lawyer of the Year for Capital Markets by Best Lawyers (2016).
